    brakes hit floor

I did a stupid thing last week when I had a brake line blow and just to make it home I put power steering fluid in master cyl . since then I have replaced both rear calipers, flushed lines but my pedal when hit hard has lots of brake but if i slowly push the pedal it will stop but very slowly and it only stops as my foot reaches the floor.

So my question is what else do I have to change

    Thanks

Sounds like a bad master cylender.

power steering fluid in the master cylinder, yikes!
i did the same thing on a camaro i had a few years back. brakes just hit the floor all at once. it had rear drums and i ended up rebuilding both rears, bleeding entire system and replenishing with fresh brake fluid.
    not fun with no brakes.
    good luck

The petroleum based ps fluid farged up the seals in the MC. Rebuild it now and flush the entire system vigorously, hoping it didn't work it's way to all the calipers.

^ seconded. Anything rubber in the brake system is suspect, caliper seals, hoses, master cyl, etc....

I think we have all learned a valuable lesson here:

You don't pull on Superman's cape. You don't spit into the wind. You don't pull the mask off the ol' Lone Ranger and you don't put power steering fluid in the brake system!

Or the EBTCM, a very expensive part.
