    Question Question About Wheel Lugs....

The '02 Deville has 5 lugs on each wheel. I have been driving for about 8 months now with only 4 on my front left wheel. Now I hear this ticking noise from that wheel in addition to the swaying from a previous post (which mechanics say are my tires, which I'm getting this weekend). I always thought that it wouldn't harm the ride. Does anyone know if that will have a negative affect on the ride.

It will affect the wheel balance. I'm not sure what the ticking noise would be from though.

    Re: Question About Wheel Lugs....

GM designed the car with five, using less than that is a problem.

Sounds like you need a driveaxle too, regardless get that lugnut/stud repaired or if necessary replaced, and get the car inspected.
