What is the usual fix for ABS code 61?
This is a 1994 Seville with 110,000 miles and a brand new engine.
The ABS light was NOT on before replacing engine.
Now it has an ABS code #61 that I checked thru the dash buttons.
Cleared code and it comes back on with system self check without taking car out of PARK.
Traction control doesn't work either according to dash display.
All ABS sensor wires have been visually checked and APPEAR o.k.
You're going to have to take the black cover off of the ABS pump to expose the relay. Take it out and whack it aganst your hand a few times to get the internal switch unstuck. Then put it back in and see if it works again. If it does, then get a new relay because chances are that your problem is going to return later on.
Edit: I guess I should add that the bigger relay is the pump relay, and the smaller one is the valve relay.
