    Shimmy?

    I get a severe shake in my stering wheel when i brake at speeds over 50mph, what causes this? It started about a week ago when i changed my wheels and tires for the summer.

    Try balancing the front tires and see if it goes away.

    thats where i run into a problem cause the wheels i put on are a spinning wheel and they are VERY difficult to balance (so i have been told). It is a kit so the spinner can come off but then if you just balance the wheel without the spinner wont that kind of defeat the purpose?
