Suspension, Brakes and Tires Discussion, Noise from front wheel - Wheel bearing? in Item Specific Cadillac Discussion; Hi!
When I make left turns there is a whining noise, similar to the one the powersteering does when you ...
The wheel bearing will be around $100 for an aftermarket one, and near $150 or more for a AC Delco part.
I just changed the front wheel bearings in my 1994 Deville about 2 months ago. It's not that hard, but you will need a very large socket to get the hub nut off. It's around a 32mm if I remember right. You will also need a two prong puller to pull the hub off the axle.
Yes, that price was for one bearing! They are pretty expensive. If you are unsure if that's what is making the noise, take it to a shop to confirm.
And either one of those pullers will work fine. The center screw pushes on the axle shaft, while the arms pull the bearing hub off of it.

Re: Noise from front wheel - Wheel bearing?
The 3 prong puller will work better. If the noise is when turning left, then the right bearing is the culprit. Confirm it by driving straight and swing the wheel left and right. A bad bearing will usually growl when loaded and quiet down when unloaded. When I did one on my '92 Deville I was in and out in less than an hour.
