    Passive strut question...Help!!!

    Hello all,

I have a 1993 Cadillac STS that is in need of new front struts. I have the "Service Ride Control" message and have a couple of questions...
By reading other posts, am I right in assuming to cut costs Passive struts are what I need. How much can I expect that to cost me if anyone knows. And what type should I buy that will clear the code as well?

Thank you so much for your time,

    Jon Lauren

First of all to the boards.

What engine does your 93 have? 93 was the conversion year from the 4.9 to the northstar 4.6, and both of them have slightly different suspension systems.

As for the SRC message, you are going to have to check the codes to find out whats causing that to come up.
