    System warnings

I bought a 98 Deville Concours last year with 76K miles and almost immediately put a new set of aftermarket struts with the connectors to fool the system into thinking they were original. I've had no problems until suddenly I got a "service ride system" warning last week. I now have 91K miles. Today I put new brake pads on the front and checked the suspension all around and find nothing obvious. After lowering the car and pumping the brakes up to normal I now have "service stability system" as well as the previous service warning and the ABS and Traction Control lights are on. Help! It rides and stops fine and I don't know what could be wrong now. I'm very mechanical but this is new to me.

Is it possible that one or more of the resistors that were installed to fool the computer have gone bad?

Thanks, but would that effect the ABS and Stability systems too?
