    rear suspension problem{96 deville}

    i have a problem with my 96 deville.the rear suspension dont seem to be working.there is no service ride control coming up on the dash and there are no codes.sometimes the air compressor will work most of the time it dont.when it does it stays on for about a second then shuts off until the next time it decides to work.with no codes and no service ride control im there any way to check the compressor other than getting up under the car?i just remembered i cleaned the engine about 6 months ago and from that it set off every warning light in the car.the abs light was on and i was getting a service ride control then but it went out.the compressor has worked since then.made me wish i hadnt cleaned the engine.could that have did anything to the ride control?

    The elc can have problems that will not set codes, a visual inspection is about all you can do without the pressure gage and adapters (j22124-b) and a diagnostic chart.the compressor should run a short time when pulling codes if not check the compressor relay in the trunk fuse block #2 micro relay center relay a .sts96
