    Front end shaking

I have a 2006 DTS 4.6 liter with approx 60,000 miles on it that when I brake on extreme downhill grades after approx 1 mile the front end starts shaking violently. This only happens on extreme downhills and no other time. Any advice?

60k miles of dragging brakes down 1 mile grades will probably wear ur rotors down. Have u inspected them lately?

    Re: Front end shaking

As written in your owner's manual, use engine braking on long downhills to reduce brake wear and the effects of temperature rise during protracted brake application situations.

The chapter will be titled something like "Your driving and the road" - and the small advice paragraph on shifting to a lower gear when doing extended coastdown is in the types of roads section.

Our engines shut off the fuel injectors after X seconds of extended coastdown. Injector pulse resumes as soon as the accelerator pedal is depressed slightly.
