blew ft. strut on my 91 eldo

Got "service ride control". I changed front struts with after markets. Now for the Q?s. How do I get rid of the "SRC" message? The sensor on the left rear is broken. Can I jump it to turn the compressor on and off when I want? If the compressor is bad, can I reroute the air lines to a tire valve stem fitting and adjust them with a tire pump? There's a value that has to be changed when you go into diagnostics. Do a search here or at cadillacowners.com and the procedure should pop up.
As for the air shocks, adding an air valve to fill them is a lot cheaper than trying to fix the OEM system. You just loose the automatic adjusting.
