    95 Deville rear strut removal?

When trying to remove the nut at the top of the strut the whole assembly turns. So I locked the strut into place and tried again and the inside of the strut just spun around without the nut breaking loose. I can't figure how to break it loose to be replaced.....

    Please help!!!!

there should be a hole at the top of the of bolt that the nut is on for allen wrench. what you need to do is use the allen wrench to hold the sturt still as you turn the nut it should come right off then.

This first thing to do is get a good stiff wire brush and clean the rust off the exposed threads & penatrating oil always helps.
There is an Allen head on the top of rod to hold it from spinning with the lock nut. Its probably full of dirt & rust. Get pick and scrap it out .
