    rumbling in front wheel?

    Hey there folks,
I've noticed a slight, "rumble" in my front area while driving at highway speeds (70-80 mph)? I wonder what could this be? Some bearing, joint issue? What? It's not so bad that she "shudders or shimmies"...but it's getting there...

    Any ideas appreciated.

Sounds like the wheel bearing/hub, if it increases with speeds, and decreases when you slow down.

Ditto. Get it looked in to before you get stranded somewhere with a towing charge on top of everything.

I've driven a VW Golf III with bad front bearings for months with no issue, my mechanic told me if it starts to knock then it's time to replace it ASAP.

I would guess the wheel bearings, check that.
