Suspension, Brakes and Tires Discussion, Anyone use Monroe's air kit? in Item Specific Cadillac Discussion; I just ordered the kit to convert my monroe shocks to manual airshocks, it was only a few bucks.
Automatic rear level ride control (or ALC) is one of the features of your Cadillac.
Think of it this way: When was the last time that Cadillac made a DeVille that didn't have that feature?
Every K car had rear level ride from the factory... C and D bodies too, right?
Maybe it's the history - i think cadillac first used air ride in the 50's...
It's just my opinion... maybe i'm a purist but that's just the way I see it.
I guess the phrasing that I used to convey my message was a bit 'blunt'
That may the issue here. I am not a purist. I just bought this car to drive for my business because I needed something comfortable, and cheap.
I hardly ever carry passengers, and if I do I will fill the air myself if I need it that badly.
Saying it's not a Cadillac without it just seems a bit extreme to me.
It's good to see people with passion about their Cadillac though, who knows, this 04' Deville may be the start of the addiction for me as well.
yeah, I understand your situation... i'm not trying to say your car isn't worth a damn now...
it's still a great car... just one nice option short
and if that's what you've got to do to keep it on the road, then so be it
(it is your car after all)
