    Exclamation Illusive Brake Problems...PLEASE HELP!!

I currently own a 1991 cadillac deville (4.9L). 6 months ago I had replaced both front brake assemblies(calipers, pads, rotors). At the time the only problem was a ceased caliper and nothing else. Several days ago my brake light came on and found out that my fluid was low. I replace the entire rear assemblies(cylinders, shoes, and springs). All the lines are good and have been replaced except for 3 foot wich was good. I bled the lines and all seemed well and went to drive off and Barely any pedal. They will pump up but on the first push there is barely any slow down all the way to the floor. I replaced the Master cylinder and bench bled and lines. Still I had the same problem.
I Havent replaced the front rubber lines and Heard this could cause part of the symptoms. So far a large majority of my braking system is new. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
I am 99% sure all the air is out of the lines and I DO NOT HAVE A BROKEN LINE.
Please help. I fear I might have a money pit on my hands.
By the way, Everything that is replaced so far is lifetime warranty and considered that I have recieved a bad mastercylinder, But this is doubt fall considering the same symptoms are present.

    Re: Illusive Brake Problems...PLEASE HELP!!

Well yesterday I decided to do some research on other forums and found out that the automatic adjuster on the drum brakes can cause this problem. Well instead of spending more money I decided to try adjusting it my self with a screw driver. I adjusted both sides all the way out untill the drum wouldn't fit over the shoes then braught them back in a few turns so it fit with out rubbing. I started the car and sure enough it fixed the problem.
I hope this post helps anyone with a similar problem.

Any rear brake job on a car with drums always ends with adjusting the ratchet wear mechanism to the new/turned drums and shoes.

BTW, that mechanism adjusts the rear brakes every time you apply the brakes and come to a full stop in reverse.
