Need Help With Brake fluid Reservoir

    Hi,
I have a 2004 Cadillac Deville, I have a check Brake fluid light on the dash. I checked the fluid all is good. I also replaced the sensor in the fluid tank and i still have the light. but when i unplug the sensor the light goes out. if i have the sensor out of the tank the light goes out. it only comes on when the sensor is plug in and in the Reservoir. what is in the Reservoir to make this sensor work?
    thank you

p.s. Im new First day on this site

Re: Need Help With Brake fluid Reservoir

If this car has anti lock brakes, you must depress the pedal 20 to 25 times car off, then check the fluid level. Pumping the pedal depletes the acumulator fluid charge. The float simply raises to the top and opens an electrical connection on the float.
