Post 2008 CTS wheels to fit on 2005 CTS

I bought some 18" high polished factory wheels off of a 2008 CTS to put on my 2005 CTS. It appears the center of the 08 wheels is not big enough to clear the rotor assembly on my 05 car. Has anyone found an adapter to make this set up work

I sincerely doubt this is possible.
The lug studs are a different size on the '08 and nothing will be properly centered.
You will end up with vibrations (even if you can get them on) and possibly worse.

Re: 2008 CTS wheels to fit on 2005 CTS

I own a 2005 CTS and purchased a set of 2008 CTS 17 inch 7 spoke wheels, the center hub stock is too small to fit onto the 2005 CTS. I had the center hub of the wheels bored out to fit the size of the 2005 CTS it was less than an 1/8 of inch so wheel integrity was not an issue. The wheels fit on the car no problem but the only problem i am dealing with now is that with the 12mm bolt studs there is enough thread however finding a set of lug nuts that are 12mm but have a large enough shoulder is my biggest issue now. I know i may regret all of this if i do get the wheels on the car and have more problems but every mechanic/wheel shop that i have talked to has told me that i shouldn't have vibration issues. If any knows of 12mm lug nuts that have a wide enough shoulder to remove the risk of the lug nut falling through the 14mm wheel hole please let me know...
