Unhappy "service Brake Fluid Switch" Warning?

Can anyone tell me what this means? I get it on the Message Center sometimes, I can reset the info and it goes away for awhile, but then comes back. I have no idea what it means or how to fix or reset - can anyone share a thought?

Re: "service Brake Fluid Switch" Warning?

On some years & models of Cadillacs, there is a sensor in the master cylinder reservoir that monitors the level of the brake fluid. And on some of those Cadillac models, when the Onboard Diagnostic System decides the sensor (switch) is defective, you get a message.

But we don't have a clue what year / model of Cadillac you are talking about.

Thanks for the speedy reply - sorry for the ommission - I am talking about a 1996 sts. Does this sensor just have to be replaced or can it be reset?
