Re: B2118 - Front Vertical Sensor Failed

Something has gone wrong with the Stability Control system. Try opening and cleaning the front strut sensor connectors. Pull the front wheels and disconnect the strut wiring, not the wheel hub/brake wiring. Spray with electronic cleaner and reconnect. Pray.......

Re: B2118 - Front Vertical Sensor Failed

I was leaning towards that too.

I had a feeling it was the front struts, they are passive with the new plug in system, no resitor. I was thinking one of the plugs got some water in it because it started during the last snow storm & stopped once it dried out.

I have to look and see where they put those connections, they did tell me, but I can't remember what they said.

Haha... That's funny.. B2118 is a Front Vertical Sensor in the driver's seat

Most likely your memory seat doesn't work right, correct? (just the front vertical adjustment)

Re: B2118 - Front Vertical Sensor Failed

Well, that's what the code is for. The service info says that your front vertical adjustment will not work automatically for the seat recall or entry/exit functions. It will still work manually though.

So if you raise or lower the front of the seat, then in theory it should not automatically adjust back to where your memory settings are. At least if the code is current. If the memory seat module sees a valid signal again, it will clear itself.
