I just installed rear air shocks and standard front struts on my 98 deville (base). after installing the rear air shock the back end is just as low as it was when i replaced. I bought them to get rid of the saging but it still sags!
when i sit on the back of the car to get the leveling system to work it turns on for maybe 3-4 secs and turns off. Not changing the height at all.
So i took the compressor and put new lines on thinking there might be a leak but that didn't.
Then i removed the little control arm that connects to the leveling sensor so i could freely make the pump turn on and off. Which it did fine, in fact i didn't realize how high you could get the rear end!
Anyways i thought leaving that little arm off and then adjusting the leveling system my self would work and it did but it left the car a little higher then i wanted and also made for a rough ride.
So either my car is to low and looking ghetto or its to high.
Also the air shocks, should there be air in them all the time? b/c when the car is at its lowest pretty sure there is no air in them (I went and squeezed the air blader)
So what do i do to get the normal height back in my Deville?!?!?!?! Any help would be great!
