AIR RIDE SUSPENSION PUMP going bad

Hi all on my 92 deville my air pump for the rear leveling is starting to go, bearings inside sound shot. mechanic told me new new goes for over 600 bucks wow!! cant find a rebuilt one, only perhaps one out of a junkyard, which im not keen on doing. My caddy only had the rear leveling, not the fancy computer command suspenion that was offered that year. My question is what happens if i dont do anything?

The springs will eventually sag out and the rear of the car will ride low and bottom out on bumps.

The compressor system change is fairly simple, but you should use a factory service manual, Helm/GM, not Chilton or Haynes, to guide you.

Both compressor and manuals are on eBay all the time.
