    KYB shocks Vs ACDelco (Price-Quality-ETC)

I am looking for some good shock absorbers, I personally dont like the gabriels, monroe etc, I have always trusted the OEM brand, either AC delco, motorcraft etc, I found KYBs at a very good price, has anybody tried them, are they good? average? Besides, they are way more cheap than AC delco ones, would there be a lot of difference?
I have a 2k Caddy Deville with 100K miles and I think it is finally time to install new ones, I was told that I needed to pay for allingment or what ever you write it... after the shocks is that true?
and one more thing, is there a good place to find these kind of parts in the internet?
    what do you guys suggest?

    thank you.

    Ger.

Can't say how they'd do on your Cadillac, but I put a set of KYB GR2 shocks on my '64 Impala two years ago, and I love them. Excellent control, no float or wallow, and the car still has the Jet-Smooth Ride that Chevrolet advertised back in the 60s. When it's time for new shocks on my Cadillac, I'm getting KYBs for it, too.

Not on the Cadillac, but they're still on the Impala five years later and still working well. I still recommend them highly.

Thank you. I've read good things about them and AC Delco hasn't replied to my e-mails regarding technical info based on their suspension offerings, so they're looking good so far.
