Anyone out there know if it is possible to swap out a 1999 Deville Concours PCM into a 1999 Base Deville? I have the base deville and was thinking about that earlier today. That would get rid of my 112mph limiter. I have wet dreams of going faster than 112mph. What is everyones thoughts on doing this?
CadillacETC1997 LOL, your always on here. You ever sleep? How's that chip of yours doing? Does it work even after you take it out? About this reflash thing, is it hard to reflash a pcm with my mileage and vin?
reflashing the vin will flash the computer with your current data EXACTLY. this is exactly why we cannot have someone tweak our data to remove speed govs on h and s eldos and sevilles
Sucks. Well what would happen if I put the pcm from a concours in without a reflash or anything? Would it not start at all or since my engine doesn't have the right cams, it would just mess up the timing and eventually my engine? Oh and does your chip work after you take it out or you gotta keep it in?
Someone correct me if I am wrong here, but doesn't the Concours have the 300HP engine and thus the 3.71 final drive? The base Deville has the 275HP engine and a 3.11. Sounds like nothing but problems to me.
Rt 301 in MD going to Waldorf is a great place. And I95 in MD. I'm only in NY because of the Army. Doesn't mean I stay in NY all the time.
