Search in forum doesnt work / choosy on answers

Hi, i have been using the Advanced Search a few times and it never finds anything.

Always search the whole post, with no dates in specific forums with no results, however i have just ready a 2005 NAV install thread and wanted to search on the VSS wire, this thread has the word in it, and yet the search says "no results" so its never finding this thread... whats going on?

Hmmmmmm.........VSS might be trying to find the more common "Vehicle Speed Sensor", a transmission part.

Try your entries in the plain ol' "search" tab first........look for threads first, then posts.

Try going to the Google bar and type in "cadillac forums xxxx xxxx xxxx" where "xxxx" is the thing/info description you're looking for.

Ok, searching "Vehicle Speed Sensor" instead of "VSS" worked in a specific forum, it found the thread i was reading (from 2005), however does the search have a minimum amount of letters then?

"VSS" did not pull up any results and "VSS" is in that same thread....

Can't sear to it, but I think it does. Admittedly, it is not the most efficient search engine.

Yes, the search target has to have more than 3 characters. (Except in some instances where Sal has entered exceptions. )
