Searches - What am I doing wrong?

Ok, I'm sure its me, but I've used other forums that look like this one (other topics) and haven't had this problem.

No matter what I search for or how I search, it always says it didn't find anything. If I just browse, I find those words easily.

Example: Searched all forums for GPS, get this back:

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

????

It's not you; the search feature here isn't the best. I recommend going to Google and typing "cadillacforums", then the search string. Like this, cadillacforums gps. You will get plenty of hits that way.

Here follow this link. It is a great tutorial to use our search feature. I have never had a problem finding something here using the search function this way. Also no 3 letter word searches. That's why GPS didn't come up.

I will add "gps" to the mix right now. However, it may take some time to flow through the system and provide results.

Thanks! It was the 3 letter restriction. I kept searching on things like gps, sts+gps, gps+intermittent. It didn't like any of those things.

No problem.. When you click the "Search" link in the blue navigation bar near the top of the page - the first text box allows for a "Google" search. That would be your best bet...

Yes, they should all be fine. Words like "oil" are very important, of course. So is/was GPS but we just never got around to adding it in. Thank you for setting us straight.
