It would take 5-10 minutes per page to load with dial-up.
| I'm stuck on dialup. It's not that bad. 15-20 seconds. |

Amazing! How is it possible your dial-up internet pages load 2 to 3 times as fast as my high speed internet pages do?
Is it possible you are a paying member and have the ads turned off?
I know some friends of mine who are/were non-paying members here that have dial-up internet and they don`t even bother with this site anymore because of the super slow loading pages. |

ALL my websites load and page change quickly......sometimes before I look up from my hunt & peck keyboard. Once in a while I get snitsy over the bid.openx.net thing, but that's maybe once every couple of weeks. My PC runs an older Pentium 4 single core with a gig of Ultra on the board, old Seagate 60 gig hard drive, floppy, DVD, CD R/W, USB's. Primitive.
You can try altering your levels of phishing and page security checking in Norton or whatever AV program(s) you run.........THAT makes a load difference. |

However the slow loading pages happen ONLY at this site.I surf the net at blazing speeds everywhere else BUT here.
As the previous poster noted regarding turning off some security programs---i turned off the phishing filter and it makes no difference at all. There`s NO way i`d turn off my antivirus or firewall---that`s a no brainer.
As i mentioned above, since the slow loading pages only happen here---it must have to do with this site. |

I'm a supporting member. Even at work where we have a DS-3 fiber link into Norlight Milwaukee, a first tier internet backbone. (now blocked by my employer until I find a way around it.)
I don't mean to complain, but you should know. |
