Anyone know? Im on a very fast connection, and this forum is still very slow, then it randomly will redirect me to a blank "your search did not match any documents" page. WTF. |

As of 0900 EST today the bid.openx.net slowdown is coming back. I believe the problem began last evening, as I began to notice slower page loads when the bid. url abbreviation was displayed in the lower left corner of my FF pages. |

d1.openx.org and FF are fighting one another. Slow loads and complete hangups. |

OpenX is or ad server (the banners at the top right of the screen). From time to time, it runs into a little trouble.. It should be okay now...

Out of all the forums and web sites I go to on a daily basis this has got to be the slowest loading site EVER. As if its not bad enough, has anyone noticed a drastic slowdown is the last week? It's brutal trying to read all the updated posts.  |

I realize it`s the ads that are slowing this site way down for non-paying members.I put my Windows "task manager" on display while this site loads---Internet explorer goes to 100% cpu/memory usage while pages load here and hangs and i`ve got Comcast high speed internet with a 3.4 ghz cpu.
I know the ads pay for this site.
Can the ads be turned off with a paying membership?
This site used to load much quicker a few months ago---even for non-paying members.What has changed since then? |

I used to post her every other day or so for the past 2 years-------now maybe once every week or so since the slowdown.
If i had some extra $$$ i`d get a paying membership here and turn off the ads.
I feel sorry for anyone with a dial-up or even a DSL connection on this site.It would take 5-10 minutes per page to load with dial-up.
