okay i have cleaned out my browser ( mozilla) all the cookies. everything but it takes FOREVER for pages to open.
half the time the black cadillac owners.com banner comes up and ( no joke ) 10 mins later the rest of the page just begins to show up
whats wrong? |

From time to time, some of the "ad network" ads are slow-loading, causing the pages to load slowly... In this particular case, it looks like our banner rotation software is experiencing some trouble.. That's what's holding things up.. It'll pass...

It appears to be Open.X - which is our banner rotation software. Whatever difficulties they're experiencing, it'll pass.. |

The banners have been removed for the time being, alleviating the problem. I'm looking into what is causing the issue so that our vendors can have their ads up and running again immediately. |

Here we go, again. At 0900 EST things were loading quickly. A bit slower during the noon login, and now, as of 1540 EST, we're back to the impossibly slow loads and submissions. Haven't tried Firefox yet, so have no URL to pin the load slowdown on, BUT the banner ads in the upper right are slow to load.........
1603 EDIT.....Firefox with lower address bar...........It's the same as before.........."bid.openx.net" displays for 11 - 23 seconds before the banner ad loads and the page opens. |

The vendors pay for those ads - so I can't keep them away forever. Let me talk to the company who runs the banner script... |

As of noon today things are back to the normal load speeds......Thanks, Sal. Is/was the problem some sort of a virus/phishing/scan program ?? |
