Sometimes the entire post you're working on will disappear and you have to start over. |

Happens in Firefox and Safari for Windows. Once it happens I have to switch my method of posting in order to post.
Example: If I get it during a quick reply, I have to do a full reply to post in the thread, and vice versa. |

So the quick fix is, if you have been looking a page for minute or so and want to do a quick reply, hit reload first. Otherwise if you get the error, your message is still in the quick reply box. Copy it, reload, then paste and post.

How very nice to meet you. Following is a copy of the work around info I had just posted on a this problem. Ranger hit the "moved" button at about the same time so here I see the info is needed on this thread too. here:

That has happened to me a number of times after I have typed up a long reply to post. Discovered that if I just refresh the page on my browser, it doesn't delete my "reply to thread box" with my message in it and if you hit "submit reply" again after the page is refreshed it has always gone through for me at that point. The problem occurs if I have a thread open thinking to reply and then I go away from the computer for a while and then come back to continue typing my "reply to thread". But now I just use this work around. |
