It will not go away until I back button out, but it keeps coming back... |

It is usually tied-up waiting on non-responsive javascripts to load ads and hangs on tracking cookies for ads (from places like kona24.kontera.com "Pay per click ads and In-text Advertising", an.tacoda.net -- "The home of behavior targeting") prstats.postrelease.com "lets marketers identify key forum conversations and insert relevant messages as “posts” to be absorbed by the community as expert content".
Last week I was also getting pop-ups for US green card lottery notices. It isn't worth it to participate like it once was. Advertisers are getting too intrusive and irresponsible and their servers are too busy. If anyone believes the same as I do, do I hear an "Amen"? |

Slow download and popups are a different problem entirely, their question goes elsewhere, and you probably won't get an answer in here.
Seriously consider becoming a Supporting Member and thereby lose all the ads and popups. The site has to stay cash solvent, and ads are one way to accomplish that. |

There's a MAJOR upgrade coming to the forum software soon - so I REALLY hope that clears it all up... I tried to PAY the software vendor to come look at things and they refuse. They did something screwy and apparently it's not always easy to fix...
