is it time for a new vehicle? 05 sts 148k miles
look like some things are dealer parts only.
they wont honor the repair of the cats due to the misfire, misfire has been attempted to be fixed several times, always comes bck.
Any help is always and greatly appreciated.
Cat codes doesn't always mean the cats are trash ... What brand of fuel are you using? Here in Cali, I see a lot of cat codes for people using Arco, Sam's and Costco type fuel ... I usually advise a fuel injection cleaning, sometimes an application of SeaFoam helps, however, I know that GM valves are quite sensitive, and a steady diet of good quality fuel will usually eliminate the cat codes ...
I think 3 of them are related and can be fixed with the the Cats replaced,
the p2088 is a simple fix (if what i'm thinking of is correct), you'll need to replace the camshaft sensor for bank1
the other one the P0686 is a bit tricky, It can be the ECM itself or one of the fuses.
