Just wondering...can these be installed on ramps or do you have to use jackstands on the rear?

Pretty sure you need jackstands since the cradle has to be lowered enough to get the new ones in...

Yup. I got mine up as high I could reasonably get it to make room for the human form to have room under there. The front two cradles bolts are really torqued down, so you'll need to consider that when you loosen them. I used my 1/2" cheater bar with about a 3-4 ft length of stout PVP pipe to give me enough leverage, but then my garage is not equipped maybe as well as other guys' garages.

Here is a layout of the cradle bushings (fwd bushing, rears not shown) with some Prothane grease (super sticky):

Here is a pic of the cradle lowered (fwd bushing):

The car is on jack stands. A jack was placed to support the cradle:

    The forward bushings installed:

    The rear bushings installed:

It's a tight fit. My bushings didn't just pop right in. I aligned and compressed them while tightening the bolt. I'm pretty sure my alignment is bad now. The rear bushings required some wiggling of the entire cradle to get in place. The installation was pretty quick but I took my time...washed my wheels, did some drivetrain inspection, need rear brakes- stuff like that. Getting an alignment tomorrow then...some auto-x Sunday!

*Edit: The alignment was pretty bad. It's running pretty good now.

Nice writeup above. I'm going to hold off on installing mine until I put the 9" rear kit in. The only problem is I won't really be able to attribute any difference in feel to the bushings themselves. That said, I won't be complaining about that.

Does lowering the subframe move it enough for an alignment ? It doesn't re-center ?

I don't know if thats common. I had no alignment issues. Mine were done at Lindsay on a lift and it was a pretty straightforward install. Actually drove the car down to Charlotte that afternoon when it was finished...

Re: Interest in Delrin Cradle Bushings ?

I needed an alignment. I think most places give a free check and only charge you if you need it. I know the guys at the shop I took mine to. I had an alignment just 3 months ago. The only thing that changed was installing the rear cradle bushings. I only decided to get it aligned because of how much I had to manipulate the cradle to get the rear bushings in (closest to the trunk).
