Thanks you Jay, thats the one I need. Definately different from the 83, not sure why they changed the wiring around.

[/COLOR]Does that car happen to use the same cruise control servo as my 307? If so do you wanna sell it?
So I guess you have used Lizard Skin? I have wanted to use it for the roof on two of my black cars, which get very hot in the summer. I can't seem to find anyone who has actually used it. I would think Dynamat is too thick to use under a headliner, and the idea of no seams with the Lizard Skin seems smart to me. By the way, can you use Dynamat under a headliner? I'm thinking about it for my 97 Cutlass Supreme Coupe and my 78 Coupe De Ville.

Don't glass the 1/4s. It will come back through the paint. Lots of work that will be ruined.

I'm talking about the rust holes in the rear quarters, is that what you're talking about? What do you mean come through the paint? Should we just weld in some sheet metal?

Yes, cut out the bad, weld in new. Glassing it will mean the rust will continue to spread under your new paint. Save the glass for sub boxes, boats, and Vettes

Alright, I'll just weld the quarters. Just to be clear, we are talking about the holes in the inside where the seats are in the pics in post 40? I probably wont be painting them, just spraying down some bedliner.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about outside body work. However, I would still put metal patches in there inside. I missed those shots of the rear inside area. Damn, that thing is rusty. You don't need to make it perfect, just cut out the rust, seal the edge, cut a patch and weld/screw/bond/whatever it into place. Seal it up well.

No frame swap, just swapping parts. Thanks Jay, I'll just put the patches in.

    Re: 84 Coupe Deville Project

Havent did anything in a week or so but its going in the garage in a couple hours. Gotta get fuel lines, batteries, starter and wiring started. Carpet is at the carpet cleaner and I got newer 3 motor seat rails.
Here is the other floor repair and seat studs. He missed the cut but I was able to jump on it when we were done.

You fix floors like a boss. You are making me feel like a big time slacker.

Thanks jay. Have you did it before? It was his first time doing a floor but he's been welding a while. Wish he wouldn't have missed that cut but it should stay strong. He has his mind set on fiberglassing the floor. I don't know. Got a good look at the fuel lines tonight and they look bad. Probably gonna have to redo them all from the pump. Brake lines will need attention soon also. Slowly but surely, just nice to have it back in the garage.
