I washed it with the new soap.

    It's clean! I like this.

Went to a cruise in. Had fun.

Spent a lot of time answering questions about the car. That was strange.

One guy asked a lot about what I was detailing it with. lol

That was seriously the cleanest Reatta in the world.

    Look at this thing:

Talked to the owner. He let me sit in it. It was spotless.

I hate that steering wheel though. Our Park Avenue has the same wheel. The horn buttons are made of shit.

Indeed. I hate that wheel. I broke the horn buttons on a friends rmw just from hitting the horm. Not to mention that it's not that comfortable IMO. The leather wrapped 3 spoke wheel was my favorite GM wheel (easy to find in vinyl wrapped, but leather is not so easy).

I reinstalled both door lock cylinders, and window moulding on both sides on the 77 CDV.

Fed it's need for ritual sacrifices.

Also contacted a couple parts warehouses around the country. At this point, I don't care WHERE my new rear end comes from. If Florida REFUSES to have one in the entire ********* state, we will just forsake the state, as it has us.

A guy came in to AZ tonight with a 94 DeVille saying his turn signals were inoperable. After confirming the issue with the functional part from my car, I got him a new (NOT Don'tlast) turn signal flasher and he was good to go. I think he was somewhat surprised I knew exactly what the issue was.

I had found an individual who is parting out a Caprice that could (however unlikely) have the 8.5" I need, but since his lazy arse has had over a week to actually check which rear it is and has actually moved the car at least two times (one of which it was on a lift) and has still not been able to tell me anything about it, I have lost faith in him. Pity as the whole car is only $500 together, so for what it's worth, I could still junk the car for $400 afterwards if he wanted more than $100 for the rear end.

I guess I missed the news that you got the job.
    I was wondering.

    Congratulations!

Re: What did you do to your car today?

In the middle of a clay bar, polish and wax right now. I had to stop for awhile the humidity and heat here isn't helping me at all. I'd like the car to be clean for a few hours before we get another storm like we have had every day this week. At least it's silver...
