    Re: Custom Grills

    Question:

Are the painted crossbars the same as stock? So you are using painted cross bars with the chrome mesh behind them?

If possible can you use the chrome accents on the crossbars like this

So we would have chrome cross bars with the chrome mesh for a chrome on chrome look????

to build on rich66's comment, do you think you could have the cross bars chrome with the background either the stock boxes painted black, or chrome cross bars with a black mesh background. i have a black cts and i feel if you can get a black background with chrome cross bars, it would look amazing. i haven't seen any yet.

because in order to use the lower mount license plate technique, you have to be able to get inbetween the 'egg crates' on the grill so your plate will stay on.. with the mesh, it doesn't look like you'd be able to get inbetween the wiring.. hopefully i'm wrong

It would be great to see the installation instructions so that I can determine if I have the necessary skills required for the grill removal and reinstall.

    Re: Custom Grills

I have instructions. Actually very detailed video.
However, I am going to hold on making those grills. had some issues with the guy who was making them for me. But as i always say: what ever happenes, happenes for the best.
I hired another guy, who does a lot of projects for Strut and few other high end companies. That guy is awesome. Basically he is going to make me a replica of Stock CTS Grill, but made out of the highest grade mesh (which will be available in Black Chrome as well) also that grill will have Billet aluminum Bars, just like the factory one. most parts will be made on CNC machine, electro polished, and then tripple chromed. Also that grill will mount just like a factory one, without any cutting or trimming.
there is also few other cool parts for CTS will be available soon.

He uses the help of the Strut guy. Not the same check book... Thankfully! Hes most likely just letting you know that the newest grilles will be high quality, yet affordable.

    Re: Custom Grills

3 designs are coming. to fit everyone taste and budget. Most expensive one I would say will be under $2K retail and least expensive one will be in E&G price range, but it will have nice design in it, vs E&G just plain thin mesh.
