I like that car, but the rims, conti kit, and RR grille would be gone as soon as I got it home. 11k is nuts though. Custom work doesn't add that much to the value of it (double/ triple what it would be worth otherwise). And I bet it still has a 4100 in it.Originally Posted by j2rossit
This is ok I guess but I want to know more about how I can get those metal rear bumper fillers. No more cracks or crazed paint. Yes, I know they made the stupid urethane/rubberish things because of the bumper flex but I don't plan on being in any accidents anyway. Give me the metal. I'll deal with it.
There is a guy on LIL that makes those metal fillers. I wanna say he wants like $400 for a set. The lowrider looks good to me but, like James said, the 59 is such a great deal. I'm thinking about trading my coupe for one.
Yes, the 1959 Cadillac would be a first buy for me if I won the lottery. Then again, if I won it would be a 1959 Eldorado Biarritz convertible but I still like the four door. My parents were chauffeured at their wedding in a 1959 Cadillac Flat top. I watch that old movie and wonder where that car is. My uncle bought it originally as salvage because it had a wiring harness fire. My father used to remark how my great uncle took a while to figure out the harness. You would go to blow the horn and the window would roll down.
That's great to know, may actually take you up on your offer!!!
Nice fix for the bumper filler. lol lol
Someone save that 79 from becoming parts! It's too nice looking (despite no carpet and back seat and a craptastic stereo install)Originally Posted by jamespowers
They're giving away that 67. I'm not a fan of that year but almost feel obligated to buy it based on principle alone.....
----Stop posting great cars!!
You forgot to mention a complete repaint! (Well, except for the door jams. Gotta have naked ladies in the door jams!)
I kind of love the weird interior....cept for the steering wheel.
Like the look of the metal fillers, and the function, but makes car look shorter.
I can't help myself. maybe I can save them from death in a junkyard if I can hook people up with them. I told you we have good deals on cars out here. That is why I can't see paying a fortune for one. p
Yes the steering wheel is the worst part. lol lol
If I found the metal fillers I would paint them body color. Chrome just doesn't do it for me. It looks too pimp. p
I don't like these much but for the price it isn't that bad.
Ok, one last one and then I am done today:
This is sad. A triple-black Brougham d'Elegance with Astroroof. Seems to be in good shape and running, but the guy wants the drivetrain??
nice 86....underpriced for the market
more typical of the type of caddys I find on CL
seen this one in person (met the owner at the auto parts store once) paint looks far far better in person, but you're kinda SOL to fix the damage because the paint was a custom mix and he doesnt have any extra.
waste of a decent 86 (parts car )
pretty nice 77
83 coupe in need of some love.
