^^^I agree!!! IMHO, Cadillac really missed their mark by not building a triple white last gen Fleetwood.

Re: Post a pic of your RWD Caddy!

Hey guys, it's my first time posting on the site. Here is Black Betty. 1985 with 4.1L (160,000 miles). Bought it to be a personal party car with a buddy of mine for $800. We figured we could hire a sober friend to drive us around at night, and save ourselves a DUI or two (and it's cheaper than cabs everywhere). It was originally owned by a LA recording studio, so apparently bands like Aerosmith, Guns and Roses, White Snake, Slayer, etc have all partied in this thing. Knowing that, I should probably torch the interior! The car has been eating coolant so we recently pulled the engine, and have just finished tearing it down. It's a total mess. Trying to figure out next steps. Considering a 4.9L swap, but I don't know what's involved (need to do the research). It's a California car so SMOG is an issue. I'll start a project thread soon. EDIT: A 4.9L swap looks out of the question, maybe a 4.5L? (researching).

Cory! Looks like you scored a sweet limo for not much money. IIRC, CA law says you can only swap in a motor that was available on the car when new. It being an 85, I think you might be able to slip in a 368, which would have been available in the coachbuilders package for that year. Of course, the easiest and best swap would be a Chevy 350, but CA would not be amused. Among the many reasons CA sucks.

77CDV, I started a dedicated thread for the limo with an additional note on CA smog laws and a follow up question for you if you have a moment: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...l#post10459697

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

Thx, i've got to take some more pictures of it later. I've recently waxed the entire vehicle and on Tuesday i'm gonna let a professional interior cleaner company make a total recond of the entire interior!

    Very nice!

Next to white, dark gray is a very classy color for a luxury car.
Now just get some proper whitewalls for all 4 wheels and you'll be all set!
