Cadillac 35w and 55w HID Kits!

Remove this ad
Hey all,
I've received a lot of inquiries recently regarding HID upgrades for the Cadillac cars. I thought I'd post in regards to some of the questions I've been asked in relation to the Cadillac cars.

Q&A:

Q: How much will a kit cost for my low beams, high beams, or fogs?
A: This depends on the vehicle. You simply need to order according to bulb type and then choose the temperature bulb you would like. Either 35w or 55w kits are an option. 55w kits are about 35-40% brighter than the 35w kits.

Q: I have stock HIDs and would like to change the color of the bulbs. What do I need to do this?
A: You will simply need to order the new bulbs in the bulb type you need. Stock HIDs are typically D1S, D2S, D4S, D1R, D2R, or D4R. We have all of these available in temperatures from 3000K - 12,000K. OEM HIDs are always 4300K from the factory.

Q: One of my OEM HIDs burned out. Do you have replacement bulbs?
A: This is similar in answer to the question above. However we do only recommend replacing bulbs in pairs. If you replace just one bulb it may not color match your existing bulb.

Q: I would like to upgrade my lows beams, high beams, and/or fog lights to HIDs. Is this possible and if so what do I need to do this?
A: This is entirely possible. It works the same way headlights do. You simply need to order the kit in the bulb type you need for the fogs you have and choose the temperature you want. Fogs are mostly plug and play installations but some bulb types such as H1 or H3 can require modification. It is very possible in most cases, however.

Q: Will I need a harness of any sort to upgrade my low beams, high beams, or fogs to HID lighting?
A: We have not found the Cadillac cars to require a battery harness or any other harness or canceler to get the HIDs to work. On some of the vehicles the polarity of the OEM wiring is reversed causing the HIDs not to light up. You will simply need to swap the wires around in your OEM plug to solve this issue.

I hope this helps clear up some of the common questions.

HID kit prices start from $85 shipped within the US. Please find more details and pricing at www.sharphid.com.

Re: Cadillac 35w and 55w HID Kits!

Hello,
This can be an issue on some vehicles but with the Cadillacs I have yet to find an issue except on the Escalade. A battery harness can often get around DRL issues, however.

Anyone else have input or experience with this?

Regards,
John
