Older Cadillacs You Have Owned

I'm curious about who has owned what Cadillacs over the years and hope that you will share your list. I think it would be very interesting. (If this has been done before, sorry) I had to keep buying and selling, since I could not afford to keep numerous cars at once.

For me the list is:
1966 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special (I was too young to appreciate it)
1956 Cadillac Series 62 post sedan (Dagmar bumpers)
1950 Cadillac Series 61 sedan (A real time warp car, why did I sell it?)
1962 Cadillac Fleetwood (Great fins and real wood)
1963 Cadillac Coupe De Ville (A junker from South Philly)
1968 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special (I still have it)
1976 Cadillac Coupe De Ville (Lots of torque, floating ride)
1982 Cadillac Fleetwood Coupe V-6 (This was actually a cool car)
1983 Cadillac Sedan De Ville HT4100 (Former OSU athletic director's car)
1986 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 5.0 (Slow, but a well made car)
1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 5.7 (Impala upgrade, but still good)
2004 Cadillac CTS V (The car that M Class and AMG folks love to hate)

I have really had no problems with any of these, except the '63, but it had a hard life before I got it.

You seems to have had a good time with yours many caddys, a very impressiv list.

My list is very short, its only 1 and a half car there.
One is the car i still own, I have own it about 2 and a half year, and thats my Fleetwood brougham -76. I agree about your review about your-76.

The half car is the brougham -87 my dad bought about 5 years ago witch i used part time the first time, before i bought my.

1982 Seville (two tone cotillion white/almond/tan leather)
1978 Sedan Deville (bimini beige/brown top/tan leater)
1977 Coupe Deville (jennifer blue/dark blue top/light blue leather -still own)
1995 Seville SLS (cotillion white/dark blue leather)
1977 Sedan Deville Fuel injected (silver/red leather)
2005 SRX (silver) daily driver
1991 Coupe Deville (dark blue/dark blue leather) latest purchase

'72 CDV Traded a Chrysler 318 and Torqueflite transmission for it in the spring of 1980. It came from the brother of the owner who was in prison at the time.

'71 CDV bought it from a guy who fit the description of a serial killer. Drove it for 5 years. Swapped engine to a 425. Blew that up due to stupidity. Swapped to a 500. Sold it to a friend. Friend wrecked it and dropped engine into '77 SDV.

'72 SDV parts car

'77 CDV one of the 2 which I really miss. Got it in 1984 Drove it for 6-1/2 years.

'77 SDV bought it for a winter beater (1989/1990) and to get back a 500 which was in my '71 CDV when I sold it to a friend. I still have that engine!

'76 CDV beater. A total cosmetic mess. Got it on a business deal. I took it to Raceway Park and ran the 1/4 mile 3 times one Wednesday night back in 1986.

1978 CDV De Something or other. Fully loaded. Parts car. I bought it for the fuel injection parts.

'79 SDV Parts car. Bought it for sheet metal to repair a friends wrecked '77 CDV.

'80 CDV Bought it for the wife. Owned from 1989 -1993. Nice car. Excellent all around vehicle after I swapped the rear axle to a 2.73 posi from a 1984 cop car.

1983 CDV Almost perfect body and interior. Bought it with a......blown up HT-4100 of all things. Swapped the entire drivetrain out of my '77 CDV into it in 1 long weekend. It was murdered by an inexperienced 18 year old driver. Mr. Allstate gave me book value + let me keep what was left. Had it from 1990-'93

1981 CDV 100% factory with no mods at all. 8/6/4. Great car. Sold it to a friend. Around 1991. Surplus to my needs. Last I heard it was still going after 300K. Friend became a cop and was run over on duty but survived. Another long story.

1985 Fleetwood 75 FWD limo. Ht-4100. Owned from 1992-1994. The kids loved it. That thing got 27 MPG no matter what. Very impressive. Too bad the repairs more than offset any money saved on gas.

'81 CDV Bought it from my dad in 1994 when he retired. Drove the hell out of it 600 miles a week for 7 years. I converted it to a 500 back in 1990. Great car. Always got me through.

'85 Fleetwood 2 door RWD. Parts car. Got it for free from a gang member. Long story.

'82 Fleetwood 2 door. Beautiful but worn the heck out parts car. Bought it on ebay sold it on ebay.

'80 Fleetwood 2 door. Bought it with 40 K original miles. Still have it. Considering selling it because now my son has...........

1958 Coupe Deville (purchased in 1976 for $285). Drove it many years and then parted it out. It's the car that got me started in the Caddy parts business.

1958 Series 75 Limo (purchased in 1982 for $300). Was going to restore it, but eventually parted it out.

1969 Eldorado. Owned it when I got married in the early '80s. Sold it.

1977 Eldorado. Great car. Sold it.

1984 Eldorado w/Touring Suspension option, simulated convertible top. Sold it.

1979 Coupe DeVille. My current "toy" that looks like it just rolled off the assembly line!

So Ive been driving (and working on!) Caddys for 30+ years.

Thanks. Oh and I used to work on all my friend's and family's Cadillacs. They all bought the brand due to my recommendation.
Somewhere I have an old VHS of a party at my house in the early 90s. It looks like a Cadillac dealership.
I still have a garage full of spare parts........
