    Starting problems

I have a 1985 fleetwood brougham rwd with a 4.1 liter engine. I am having trouble starting. I set the timing and I have check theplug wires. I think I have the right firing order. I even set no. 1 at top dead center and all I get is a lot of backfiring. Any suggestions that it could be something else.

18436572 thats the firing order. 1 is the left front cylinder. distributer rotation is counter clockwise...

It sounds like its a crossed wire.

    Good luck...

Did it just start doing that or were you doing anything to it?
