how to measure vacum

Hi there, i'm just working on trying to get heating to work in my 66Fleetwood, i was looking over all the vacume lines, and they seem to be connected properly. I pulled one of the main hoses and the vacume seems to be weak, i was wondering if there is a way to measure if the amount of vacume is correct.
the problem i'm having is that the blower blows but there is only cold air coming out.

I checked the heater core and both input and output hoses are hot, this model of 66 fleetwood had automatic climate control and I think that might be a problem, one thing is that the blower motor is always on no matter what I select with the climate control, auto or defrost. I can't seem to be able to turn it off even if the arm is in OFF position. For now I simply unplugged the motor so it doesn;t burn out.

I know there is a temperature sensor in the top part of the dashboard over the speedometer, in my case it seems to be broken, can anyone tell me where I could get a new one? thnx

Any local auto parts store should have an inexpensive vacuum gage you can use. Which hose did you check? The Auto Climate Control is a VERY complex system. I have the FSM for 68, so if you need help diagnosing it, i'll be glad to help you out.

Does your A/C work? If the sensor is electrically open, the car will try to roast you. (Good to know. unplug the one in the airbox under the dash so the car signals full heat) There should be three vacuum lines going to the heater control valve. the top two are the thermostatic control valve, and the bottom one is the heater core control. Where does the air come out of? It should be coming out of the bottom of the dash, not the top/dash vents. That would point towards a power servo, or a transducer problem.
