Paint Color Names?

Hi Stan,

Ben is right that the interior color that looks orange is called "Medium Saffron" in 1977. If the interior is leather the orange color is called "Antique Medium Saffron." The 1977 deVille could have four different kinds of upholstery: standard "Dynasty" cloth which is a ribbed fabric; another standard cloth was called "Aberdeen" which is plaid; leather upholstery which Cadillac had no fancy name for in 1977; and the d'Elegance cloth was called "Medici" in 1977 which was the classic crushed velour. All four 1977 deVille choices could be ordered in the Medium Saffron color.

I have been involed in a accident. My beauitful car with monor damage is deemed totaled. to a positive spin on this Farmers ins. is totaling the car out as unbielivable as as this seems. The parts cost exceed the value. No problem here.They are sending me a check for $5600 yes, sweet. I am adding $1300 and picking up a 68,000 ETC in Sun city, az. I think iI did good work finding this one. This car is as he owner described it "a mist green color" what color is this I commited to?

My 1968 DeVille convertible colors:

Exterior: Arctic Blue (#20)
Top: White (#1)
Interior: Dark Blue leather (#366)

I have original brochures from 1965 through 2007 most list the colors but do not have the codes. I have color charts for 1967 thru 1972 as well. I also have a few dealer books from 1992-92 these have some color codes.

These are all at home while I'm away until the end of the month.

Dope, The thread is useful to a degree but does not come close to accurately listing the names of the Cadillac colors as is claimed in the headline. The info I listed in in the previous posts to this thread are straigt from the factory produced color brochures and should be looked upon as the true names for colors and color codes for any enthusiast who wants the true names and codes for the colors. I hope I'm on the right forum to ask this question, this is my first time posting here. I have a car other than my Caddy that the previous owner tells me that it is painted with a Cadillac color called Eggplant Purple, but he can't remember the year or model of Cadillac that the paint is for. I'm hoping someone here can give me a paint code for that color, I mainly need the paint for rock chips repair.
