HOT "NEGATIVE" battery terminal two times

    little problem, guys...
First time it happened week ago:
1-insert ignition key, turn ON-all necessary bulbs is ON, AirBag is 7 times, so OK.
2-Key to START and i see AIRBAG lamp is ON continuos, NOT FLASH 6 times.
3-i stopped and i hear strange sound from right side underhood, sounded like "zzzzzzzz" sound
CANNOT to start again-turn of key brings to nothing-NO CRANKING.
    4-Negative terminal TOO HOT.
After disconnect -terminal and waiting for 5 minutes and reconnecting-ALL is OK-AirBag 6 times flashing.

I was cleaning up negative terminal and driving one week with NO problems, but today it's situation come back again.

    WTF?
    starter is dying?

Does the airbag blink normally or is that new? Follow your battery wires to make sure they haven't melted and are touching metal or something. I'm not sure what it could be.

Re: HOT "NEGATIVE" battery terminal two times

AirBag blinks NORMALLY-7 times when key is ON and 6 times when START.
Only TWO times AirBag do not blinked, when HOT terminal is happened.
Of course, all wires was carefully checked-NO melted, NO damage etc.
    POSITIVE terminal is OK.
NO parasitic load. All electrician equipment is OK.

Some ukrainian guys talk about starter "locked" inside-randomly locked and unlocked.

btw, 85-100F outside-very hot and dry.
more btw - recently i had some of leaking oil from seals, but in spring this year all leakage resolved, so starter now NOT in much oil as previous.
Is it possible of "not enough" lubrication inside starter?
    Engine now is absolutly dry

Some details about cranking-when hot time, my cranking time near 4-5 sec, but in cold cranking LESS then 1 second.
Car is 21 years old, mileage 74 kmiles, previous hosting during first 18 years was not so much good.

I'm not sure but you can take your starter off and have it tested at most parts stores (at least here in the US...) You might want to try that. You can also have them test your battery. I don't know if a bad battery would necessarily cause this issue but i wouldn't rule it out since most places will test your battery for free.

airbag light flashing shouldn't have anything to do with starting. If the cable was loose or not making good contact that can make them get hot. If it's not getting hot now and is starting don't worry about it.

If you turn the key and the starter won't turn but it's draining power there's a chance it could be bad starter or possibly another loose/dirty connection.

btw, NO ERROR CODES according to Climat Diagnostic.
    All positions -00- -04 totally shown ZERO's.

Battery is OK- green light in battery indicator, all measurements is OK too.

    hmmm....
When i saw AirBag NOT flash and lights ON, i STOPPED and turn ignition OFF. Strart again was IMPOSSIBLE until i disconnect hot NEG cable from battery and wait near 5 minutes.
    After reconnecting start was successful

It could possibly be a bad battery wire, too. Maybe it's making too much resistance (resistance = heat) and preventing the current from flowing properly?

I think Outsider is on the right track. That negative cable is probably bad or has a bad connection. Resistance creates heat.

you can get the same sound if there's not enough juice going to the starter. If the cable is bad and not letting enough juice through that could be causing the zzzz sound too.

Re: HOT "NEGATIVE" battery terminal two times

If it is not the cable, it could be the ground connection. Look for corrosion and clean up the frame where the ground connection attaches. Earlier Cadillac engineers went to Aluminum ground cables. They would corrode inside the sheathes. The cables would swell where the cable corroded. As someone stated corrosion creates resistance to current flow. The noise is actually the current amperage reacting to the resistance. Vibration.

Replaced starter with new unoriginal from Cargo, parts# 112897.
"zzzz" sound came from starter, it's clear after some of testing procedures.
According to mechanics, some parts inside starter was stick on the drive shaft...
    thanks for all
