    HT4100 power steering pulley

I'm trying to remove the water pump on my '83 cadillac but have struck a problem with the power steering pulley. It has a hex pattern thread but I'm sure there's a
snapped bolt in there from a previous repair. When I can get that out, I'll need to
know how to get the pulley off. I've done lots of reading on this forum and
understand the pulley puller threads into this hex pattern. Could somebody please
tell me if this is correct and could somebody please post a picture or link to the
    pulley puller I need. Thanks

I was able to loan the tool from my local part store. But the pull was on so tight that the flange of the pulley broke off before the pulley came off. So out came the angle grinder and I had to replace both the pulley and the pump.

Hey Cindy-sue this is exactly what I need to do to my 83 2 door d'elegance. so far has it been difficult for you. what name brand of water pump are you getting? also what I have been reading is that the water pump has two ring type of seals that go in a tube like opening. This will need to be
installed properly or else you will get a leak from this area. Can you do a write up on the water pump replacement. I will pm you so we can talk. I have all the parts that I will be replacing when I do my water pump(need the water pump). I have all hoses and belts. Need to know which
    thermostat
to buy(name brand). Also I will be replacing my radiator(I have a lifetime warranty), my power steering pump(making noise and I also have a
lifetime warranty) along with the power steering hose. What else can I replace sinse Im going to be in here. Is the timing belt a good idea to
    replace
since you are there. My Caddy has 245,324 original miles. I will also need to flush the coolant system. what do you recommend I use to flush the
system. Also do you recommend using the gm coolant tabs or should I use an aftermarket solution that is basically the same material? NEED HELP
    Thank You

Thanks Felix, your info will be really helpful, appreciate the photos too. Thanks again

Hi Caddy1983, this is the first bit of bother Ive had with my cadi. Unfortunately I live in New Zealand so a lot of parts etc have to be sourced from USA. I imported the car from Florida 10 years ago and really not
too sure how many more miles I'll get from the motor. For now, i'll try get this water pump replaced (which Im going to have to get from USA) and see how I go from there. Thanks for replying with your information too, greatly appreciated
