My new old convertible DeVille '67 and a little part request

    Hi friends!

I live in Moscow, Russia and i have recently acquired a pretty surviver convertible DeVille from 67. It is in a very good condition after only 45000 miles. There is no signs of any restorations done on it, completely in original condition.

It is working well but i'm going to do all possible to restore it pristine condition.

Here is the page i've created for the car on a Facebook. sorry it is in Russian but you can find some beautiful photos of the car there https://www.facebook.com/CroCadilla

I've been able to find some needed parts but right now i'm obsessed to acquire a cruise control dial like on this picture the small one with "auto" on it. Any help will be appreciated!

    Mark.

Hi Mark, it must be fun and quite a sight to see that beautiful Cadillac cruising around Moscow!

    Nice car!

I have one or two extra dials. 1967 and 1968 had the same cruise control. I have to look to see how many I have and to make sure they are not broken.

    Thanks!

The weather in Moscow is very warm right now and the days are long so i'm cruising almost every day sometimes till 6 AM. People react with much sympathy and excitement. Attitude is very positive.

We had a very nice cruising with my friends and that was a real fun! Here we are:

Now tomorrow i'm going to drive 450 miles to Saint Petersburg to Muscle Car Show - should be fun. And also a good test-drive for a vehicle.

Thank you! I greatly appreciate that! I looked all over the net and can find none. Seems like this option was quite a rare one.

Some very fitting playmates for your convertible.

The cruise sounds great, hope it all goes smoothly!

That's a nice gathering. It reminds me of several years ago when I had my 1968 convertible, my Austrian friend had a 1969 Corvette and our Canadian friend had a 1967 Camaro. We would go to different car shows together.

I'm going to try and figure out a fair price for the dial.

Do you need the whole thing or only the little center part with AUTO on it?? Of course this assumes I can separate the two items I probably can. I completely disassembled three driver side mirror remote controls to make 2 working ones (68s have the shrouded mirrors and a 3 wire remote control).

I've just got back from the show. It was a very nice gathering! About 60 cars, some 15 Caddys from different periods.

And the car has survived the almost 1000 miles trip pretty well, except the cylinder head gasket failed and needs to be replaced now.

Mark, I've been in touch with Greg in NY. I'll be sending him the whole piece in a few days. I don't want to risk breaking something, so I'm sendig it attached to the big piece.

Normally I don't let anyone on or near the paint, but for these two I might make an exception...

Hi Mark, I mailed the part to your friend Greg in Brooklyn last week, and it was delivered on Sat. I haven't heard from Greg, but I know it was delivered. It is the big and small circle together, so use what you need from both to make 1 working item.

Lets see some more eye candy on that convertible!
