    Changed the Fuel Pump Today

My limo has been cranking longer than usual lately, but I didn't think much of it.

Then, the other day I was putting the sub box back in the trunk while it was idling. Fuel pump sounded like it was straining, and would actually shut off and turn back on. But the car ran okay.

The fuel pump has been a bit louder since I replaced the sender. Didn't think much of that either.

Well the other day I took it out and when climbing the hill just outside my driveway it fell flat on its face. Out of fuel.

Rock Auto has the pump for $21.79. Unbelievable. With the strainer. It's good as new now, and is a lot peppier. It was down on fuel for a while, apparently.

The moral of the story: do yourself a favor and replace the fuel pump when you're replacing the sender. It's no fun to yank the tank twice.

It's nice to see your satisfaction . Since you replaced the sender you should be having an accurate fuel gauge as well
    Have a good weekend :icon_highfive:
