I dont think they are made to roll down more than half way. I know the windows in my 86 FWB don't.

    Re: rear window roll down

They won't go any more than halfway down because the door shape does not allow it. That's one thing I liked about my old 1970 Fleetwood Brougham - those windows went nearly all the way down. The back door was bigger than the front door.

Yup, like that on most cars.

Now that I think about it, one of the unique things about my Vigor, is that as the rear windows go down, the front of the glass goes down further, and the glass ends up tilted forward and open more. Odd, but it does allow the window to open more.

    Re: rear window roll down

The dog leg in the rear door to allow the rear wheel opening prevents the glass from going fully down. Just trace the glass on a piece of paper and slide it down the door, you'll see the issue.

That's the real reason the windows don't go all the way down.
Child safety is the marketing department's spin on it.
