Wow, it looks nice! I usually can't stand de-chroming, and winced when I saw the tape going onto the grille, but I have to say... That grille looks good! I don't think I've ever seen that done before, but I think I like it. It almost had to be black to work, though. Not sure how body-matching that would go on a lighter car.

Great work! I love to see these old cars that were in rougher condition have someone with vision go the extra mile, and preserve otherwise discarded heritage.

EDIT: Were you the one who was having sunroof leak issues?

I agree with you Ben. Lots of things I would normally do all I could to talk someone out of doing...all together making a really cool package out of what was basically a throw-away car.

Good job and hope you keep having fun with it!

Yes I was haha. I hit it up with the rubberized undercoating. Had slight rain no leak

    ----------

also guys! i agree usually i dont like to de chrome. but the front grill was UGLY with no hood ornament. WHY doess the front grill stick up an extra inch or 2. on my sedan deville and my fleetwood the grill doesnt do that it looked ugly so i painted so it would hide instead of stick out. plus this car looks good dark ive decided that.

Looking good. Me personally, I love the chrome. The more the better. Even my new current car has chrome in it, factory and added some fee touches.

    You have an aftermarket grill.
I usually don't care much for those, but you have improved it

You've made great progress!! I'm glad to see that car being saved.

Yeah looking good! To me, black and chrome go very well together and the more chrome on a black caddy the better. But this looks pretty good.
