Is this the end of my engine??

I was on my way to work this morning and my caddy began to overheat, I pulled over immediately and got some coolant into it. I leave it parked go back to it after work, and start it up and after about 5 minutes of idling I see a leak which are in the pictures. The fluid is light brown like coffee. I left the car there and I need to see what the problem could be and or is my engine toast. Any ideas of what it could be??

That's either REALLY dirty coolant, or REALLY milky oil. Check both fluids. Which one matches?

Can't see where it's coming from from those pictures.

What did the oil look like? was it milky or clean?
I would start doing a series of tests. Compression test would be high on the list. There might be a head gasket issue. The water pump might given up the ghost.
Did you see any bubbles in the coolant reservoir as it was running from cold?

A compression test will not tell you if a HG is bad. You'll need to do a leak down test for that (or a block test to check for exhaust gases in the coolant).

Looking at the dipstick will tell you in an instant. That looks like classic milkshake to me.

You better tow it home and change the oil if you plan to keep it at all. And you still have to figure out how the coolant is getting in the oil. Could be a simple intake gasket leak or something worse. Chances are it has been leaking in there for a while and the bearings are already damaged.

Antifreeze is a notoriously terrible lubricant. If run to the point where milkshake is pouring out of it - like in the pics - a rebuild is in order.

I beg to differ. A bad compression reading can be caused by a bad head gasket, and with an overheat situation I'd be suspicious of it. A good compression reading doesn't rule out head gasket since you'd still need to to the coolant pressure test. I'm just suggesting that he gets a good idea of what the current condition of that engine is before dumping any money in it.

The point of Rangers comment is that a compression test is not a definitive test for HG failure.

But I don't understand the logic behind not doing the test on that basis. It was a separate thought from the HG comment on my first post.
It will help you know if the valves and rings are still good and that the heads are still true. There's a big reason lots of junk yards will report compression test values for their used motors for sale.
I've seen overheated engines be brought back from deaths door with very little required work. But I've also seen people dump tons into a never ending list of problems that come up too. Learn what you can about the engine now and make the informed decision on how to proceed.

He didn't say not to do it, He just said it's not a definitive test for the head gasket.

Re: Is this the end of my engine??

Where is the leak actually coming from? It could easily just be a gasket at the front of the engine that has both oil and coolant at it and it's mixing coming out.

We still need to see the oil out of the pan. That will tell all.

The dipstick ought to tell you. It will be milky and way over full. BTDT.

EDIT: Missed where he checked the oil - I think. "I checked it was coolant oil levels were fine."
