94 FWB few questions (brakes, pcv)

So I recently picked up a 94 FWB and just going over some needed work and other maintenance before I really start driving it as my daily car (it'll be parked over winter, so lots of miles going on afterward)

    1) Previous owner says there is a crack in a rear brake line and that it is a hose type and not a metal line. I've confirmed the rear brake fluid drains out pretty quick. The parts store says there is just a single part for a hose type brake line on the rear, and I'm not really able to get under the car to look yet, so does anyone know how the brake lines are arranged under there? Anyone got a pic? Nobody local has repair manuals and I've yet to order one.

    2) I noticed that where one would usually find a PCV valve I've just got an elbow piece sticking out of the valve cover feeding into a large hose. It almost looks like it's supposed to be that way. A new PCV valve I ordered does fit in the hole but isn't the same size to match the hose... Any ideas?

For general maintenance, any specific things to do that most people wouldn't think of? So far got the plugs, air filter, fuel filter (installing whenever I can get under the car).

The over the axle flex hose is just like every other RWD car and truck GM has made since the dawn of time. The hard line goes into a fitting above the axle on the frame, then the rubber line connects to that and is secured by a clip. The hose then goes into a splitter block on the axle.

On your LT1, the PCV is not in the valve cover. It is in the side of the intake, under the "home plate" silencer. See pic below.

Ah thanks for the info. Sounds like this shouldn't be too difficult.
