    Hood stuck shut

    The inside hood release on my 96 fleetwood didnt pop the hood,so i took the grill off and the release there also didnt open it. Any ideas on how to get it open? Thanks

    on my 95 after i pop the latch I have to wiggle the hood. Push down hard on it and then pull up a few times. See if that frees it up

    I tried pulling the inside release while my neighbor pushed and pulled on the hood, and its still stuck. I can see the latch when i look where the grill was but i cant seem to get it popped, Im not sure what i should be doing

    when you pull the lever inside the car do you hear the latch release at all? or does it seem like the lever is disconnected? You may need to release the latch manually

    where the cable meets the latch under the hood, grab that lever and move it, hood will unlatch. then lift and use the normal handle for the secondary catch

    the latch is where i circled right?

    No, the latch is the thing to the right of that. Left on the pic. You can see the release cable going along the core support to the driver's side (your red circle touches the cable).

    Thanks, im still not sure quite what im doing wrong heres some pics of it





    What exactly should i be doing? Im not sure what lever? nothing by where the cable meets the latch moves

    Personally, and you may not want to do this, but I'd just grab the cable and pull hard-ish on it.

    Pull on it while someone is pulling on the hood release inside? Maybe that would get it. Looks like you can get to all the bolts needed to take the whole latch assembly off including the long vertical support.

    Yea id prefer if i didnt have to remove the whole assembly, ill trying pulling the release and wire at the same time

    you might also want to spray it down with some wd40
